description 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 國際創業與經營管理學程碩士在職專班 === 99 === In recent years, the board’s sport has gone from extreme to mainstream. Every year, more and more people are trying this fun, adventurous sport. The Moscow Wave House plans to take advantage of this rapid growth by being the first and only indoor surfing facility in Moscow, Russian Federation. Moscow Wave House will be a for-profit limited liability company. The company will lease an approximately 250 square/ft. facility in the city center of Moscow, where there will be an offer a central, indoor location for guests to learn and practice their board sports and surfing skills. The facility will include the wave pitching areas, team skills areas, meeting area, fitting & rest area. In addition to the facilities, Moscow wave House will offer specialized group coaching and one-on-one skills training, and will facilitate youth league board meetings. Indoor Surfing is a custom built facility that based on Flow Rider boarding concept. The Flow Rider is a unique innovation in water rides that is fun for everyone from kids to adults. Flow boarders ride on artificial waves that are technically called “sheet waves”, and commonly known technically as patented constructions of Wave Loch Inc, which is headquartered in La Jolla, California. Youth boarding sports and different relevant programs have exploded in popularity over the past 10 years. Informal surveys indicate that facilities offering similar amenities draw guests from up to 40 miles away, if the facilities can provide a safe, clean, state-of-the-art facility for boarding sports and surfing skills. "Select" board sports and professional leagues are increasing in popularity and advanced skills training is an absolute requirement for participants in these activities. This indoor facility will cater to the increasing need of individualized skills training on a year-round basis. The Moscow Wave house currently has little to no competition within the service area. Moscow Wave House will provide a quality indoor surfing training environment for serious athletes and amateur enthusiasts. By projection the conservative facility usage of almost 50% for the first year and a 15% growth rate for the second year. Moscow Wave House is a business that will flourish in the growing sports environment of the Moscow area of Russian Federation. According to perepis-2010.ru, the greater Moscow area has a population in excess of 10 562 000 people. People in nearly all demographics can and do board’s sport; therefore, it is realistic to use this figure as a starting point for the potential board sports customer market. The key to Moscow Wave House's success will be to make indoor surfing appealing to the largest cross section of population. This will be achieved through the following means: creating an ultrasafe environment with properly trained staff; making the indoor surfing community with endorsement from professionals; making the surfing group friendly; providing the new surfer with instruction and encouragement; ensuring that the 'fun factor' is high in order to generate strong word of mouth marketing. More and more people as well as Russians are looking to pay for experiences rather than just products. Moscow Wave House will focus on providing each customer with an experience that will make them want to come back for more. Moscow Wave House will be a Limited Liability Company, with start-up funding provided in its entirety by the owners and friend’s loans. The owners will bring unique skills to the company with limited expertise in boarding sports and water facilities, and over four years in the cable wake board industry. Moscow Wave House has high start-up costs; however, once built, the marketing strategy enjoys extremely low cost of sales. The high margin allows Moscow Wave House to generate strong profits during its first 12 months of operation. Sales for the first year will be just over $300 000 with a very solid net profit to sales ratio. During the next two fiscal years, profits are projected to increase. A modest yearly growth in sales is used for these projections. If the board sports industry's growth rate of 20% were used, the profits would be even higher. By focusing on these fundamental qualities, the friendly and knowledgeable staff will create an environment that is welcoming to wanting to try surfing the wave for the first time as well as the experienced surfers.
