The study objects included 85 new nurses and 72 clinical assistants at southern medical center. We had Quasi-experimental design study design and quantity study method for collecting data, and used the mini-CEX authorized from ABIM, including seven parts of medical conversation, physical examination, humanity specialty, clinical judgment, patient instruction, organization effect, and overall eligibility, which was changed to conversation process, physical examination, clinical judgment, patient instruction, humanity specialty, organization ability and efficacy, and overall clinical skills by nurse department of specimen hospital. This study revealed as follow: 1) the professional ability of new nurses was best but clinical judgment was worst, but their clinical ability improved, especially for conversation and clinical judgment, after four times mini-CEX during 3 months; 2) the result of four times mini-CEX showed no difference during the nurse of different age and education; 3) 99% clinical assistants thought that mini-CEX was useful for new participants, and all satisfied for mini-CEX and would like to perform mini-CEX evaluation for new nurses. Based on study result, the researcher gave advise to medical institution, clinical assistant, and follow-up research.
