碩士 === 華梵大學 === 建築學系碩士班 === 99 === As the economic development, people begin to ask for higher living quality. The interior design and decoration industry has become the emerging market. Traditional building construction industry is facing a cross-cutting transformation for market demand. Meanwhile, many universities began to face the impact of low birth rate and the market demand changes in employment. They fixed school recruitment strategies and study transition programs for some departments that have the problems for lack of student enrollment. Therefore, some construction departments transform to interior design departments and recruit students from commercial class group and design class group. Currently, it becomes a transition trend for construction departments and appears successful recruitment results after execution. However, the departments require adjusting the curriculums to have the market differences and the driving force for sustainable development base on the characteristics of the existing equipments and teachers. The courses planning of interior design education emphasize on computer technique and project management for training students with practical skills is a possible transformation strategy. This study uses the construction department of Tungnan Univsersity as a study case. The purpose is to analyze context of the department transition by data collection and literature analysis, propose a curriculum planning for the new interior design department. Wish to contribute to the transformation of the construction department to interior department with innovative vision and sustainable development.
