| Summary: | 碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 宗教學系碩士在職專班 === 99 === This article investigated Miaoli's historical development and the belief distribution from the onset and paid particular attention to the local special importance of the Miaoli Yu Qing Temple using Miaoli Yu Qing Temple sources and organization, focusing on the yearly sacrificial offering activity, As well as the Yu Qing Temple unique belief activity the work annotates the characteristics of the Yu Qing Temple folk belief activity. The research techniques used were an analysis of the literary talent historical documents and two field survey procedures.
The collection of literature data took into account research into the Yu Qing Temple's evolutionary development through local chronicles and local historical data using historical document references. The primary data field investigation main’s purpose was to understand the local residents’ view of the belief life style, through data on their culture and attitudes through observation and the in-depth interviews for data collection.
This article mainly detailed the Yu Qing Temple's construction, the folk belief activities and each type of ceremonial activity representing the Miaoli Yu Qing Temple, its folk belief and appearance.
