The purpose of this research is to explore how the SMEs exploit the transformation strategy to discover the best position and competitive strategies which create sustainable advantages to achieve the objective of ever-lasting development. The research is a qualitative case study. The small-and-medium sized original equipment manufacturers (OEM) were chosen as the main objects. Through the analyses of relevant papers and interviews of the executive officers of the above-mentioned industry, the competitive environments of the case were comprehended profoundly and the key factors of its success were identified as well. It is expected that the study would be viewed as a positive reference for the SMEs in time of adversity or transformation to adjust to changing business circumstances.
