Description
Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 應用心理學系碩士班 === 99 === This study aims to investigate the correlation between cheating behaviors on exams of junior high school students in Taiwan and the typical credentialism in the Chinese community, for the minority of socio-culture oriented studies on attribution in cheating on exams. We hypothesize that the cheating behavior on exams of junior high school students can be influenced by credentialism, academic self-efficacy, and risk assessment of cheating on exams, either respectively or interactively. And we collect data from 302 junior high school students with anonymous self-report questionnaires, which include credentialism scale, self-efficacy scale, and risk assessment of cheating on exams scale, all of which are reliable and effective assessment tools. The results indicate that the cheating behavior on exam of junior high school students is indeed proved to be influenced by credentialism, academic self-efficacy, risk assessment of cheating on exams, and their interactions. We accordingly conclude that students with stronger credentialism, lower academic self-efficacy, and inferior risk assessment tend to cheat on exams. The findings may supplement the theory of cheating behavior and can be employed for practical application.
