Description
Summary:碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 性別研究所 === 99 === The study was originated from my personal experience and news happened every day. We have always been told that those existing passionate female friendship is classified as ‘lesbian’. And those studies about intimacy are either focused on heterosexuality like ‘marriage’, ‘family’ and ‘spouse’, or discussed in the frame of ‘ heterosexuality/homosexuality’. There was no gray area. Relationship between women was invisible in the past, nor other experiences to explain the phenomenon. Therefore, apart from “heterosexuality/ homosexuality” binary framework, it is necessary to take women''s emotional experience serious, and then we can see different intimate relationship, and the diversity of ‘love and care’. I will take the stand of ‘non-standard intimacy’ to staudy the intimate female friendship ; I hope to contribute an alternative understand of women’s intimate friendship. The data is collected from eight heterosexual women. The themes of discussion were: (1)Through heterosexual frames, to understand the rendering of the meaning of female friendship and those restrictions when they experienced in heterosexual relations (2) From the angle of the female subject, to know their emotions, as well as their action while encounters the heterosexual relations. We can see the multiple forms of friendship among married and single. From these women''s subjective experience, we also can see the existing friendship of multiple forms of emotions, and this emotion also allows us to see various different possibilities in the heterosexuality itself. In addition, through the women’s interpretation, their intimate friendship has a potential to contend with the heterosexual relations. And these also provide more space for the study of“non-standard intimacy.”
