Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立金門大學 === 防災與永續研究所 === 99 === The gymnasium is also for emergency shelter after the catastrophic seismic attack. The objective of this research is to develop the fragility curves of gymnasium on various site conditions. A five-story gymnasium constructed with a reinforced concrete moment resisting frame in National Quemoy University serves as a typical structure in Taiwan. This research involves description of the ground accelerations of the 1999 Chi-Chi earthquakes and corresponding design spectra in Kinmen; modeling structure of the gymnasium with concentrated plastic hinges at the both ends of columns or beams; performing nonlinear static pushover analysis to indentify the yielding and ultimate strengths; selecting specified drift ratio from the Hazus database definition and evaluation of the damage index, to account for the various damage states; constructing the fragility curves of the gymnasium with the maximum likelihood method. The contribution of this research is to implement the nonlinear regression analysis to correlate the drift ratios and the seismic intensity measures. The iso-probability failure contours are achieved to visualizedly estimate the corresponding failure of gymnasiums with various seismic intensity measures. This contour can be incorporated in TELES to assess gymnasium damages for a primary design of new structures and a retrofit scheme of existing ones.
