In the last few years, the inbound tourists visiting Taiwan is steadily growing. As a result, the working load and stress of the immigration officers who work at the first line to examine and verify passports and traveling documents increase. The aim of the study is to reveal the correlations between job stress, leisure activity participation, and job satisfaction of immigration officers who work in the southern district of the Border Affairs Corps of National Immigration Agency. Correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis are adopted to analyze data collected from questionnaire survey , with the 93.3% effective out of total 135 , to examine the correlations of the variables mentioned above. The following results emerged: First, significant variances exist in job stress, leisure activity participation, and job satisfaction of the immigration officers with individual social and economic backgrounds. Second, the leisure participation of social activities is modestly influenced by job stress from promotion and evaluation. Job satisfaction from social communication is highly influenced by job stress relating colleague interaction. Moreover, the leisure participation of cultural and artistic activities is also highly correlated to job satisfaction from promotion and benefits. Third, the job stress from promotion and evaluation is found to be positively correlated to leisure participation which includes activities like urban recreation、multimedia amusement and social activities. The survey result also points out that leisure participation of social activities is positively influenced by job stress from promotion and evaluation. Job stress from supervision and working hours is also found to be negatively correlated with job satisfaction from work contents, while the job satisfaction from communication is found with a negative influence on job stress from supervision、colleague interaction、as well as promotion and evaluation. (3) The leisure participation activities, including cultural and artistic activities, urban recreations as well as multimedia amusement are found with a positive influence on job satisfaction from promotion and benefits; the job satisfaction from promotion and benefits is found with a positive influence on all kinds of leisure participation.
