Description
Summary:碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 機械與自動化工程研究所 === 99 === This study is aimed at the forming of 316 stainless steel bolts with the coating of oxalic acid on the wire coil to get insight into the effect of oxalic acid coating on bolt forming quality. This bolt-forming is designed with three forming blows. The first blow is for extrusion, the second blow is for upsetting, and the third blow is for socket-forming. It is revealed experimentally that the oxalic acid coating on the wire billet directly affects both the forming force and kickout force, especially the first and second blows. The first blow is for extrusion. The maximum forming force is about 13 times the kickout force. Nevertheless, the forming and kickout force of billet with oxalic acid coating are evidently smaller than those without coating. The second blow is for upsetting. The maximum forming force is about three times the first blow. The oxalic acid coating on billet is not evident to the forming force. However, it evidently affects the kickout force. The kickout force of billet with oxalic acid coating is about half of that without coating. The third blow is to form socket. The oxalic acid coating is not evident to the forming force either. However, as the billet is kicked out, the billet without coating is almost stuck in the die. It is very difficult to kick out. Consequently, the oxalic acid coating is significant for bolt-forming quality of 316 stainless steel.
