The visual effects are realistic enough, and less expensive when compared with shoot using scale model and explosion effect. Therefore, visual effect technologies are essential for modern movies. This paper studies the complete process to create visual effect scenes, including camera tracking, 3D modeling, physical simulation, and composition. Special effects, such as explosion, fire, smoke are generated. The technologies discussed in this paper are applied to create visual effect scenes of a war film.
