The ministry of education, seeing this trend, passed a bill at 2008 to digitalize all the classrooms and labs in any government owned elementary and middle school around the country, thus officially introducing Interactive Whiteboard into our classes. In Tainan City , there were 110 labs and 87 classrooms which benefited from this bill in 2009 alone. Also during 2009, Tainan City started a project called “Learning for everyone – Future of Education”, hoping this would help Tainan to maintain its IT and innovating education to a level on par with other schools around the world. This research paper will primarily be using the model proposed by Venkatesh et al in 2003, Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) as a tool to analyze the 200 Tainan teachers’ view. These views include the willingness to use Interactive White Boards and acceptance of such innovation, what results do the teachers expect, what return are they expecting, the influence to the social network, as well as what conditions are needed to make this transition, by using PLS, Partial Least Squares 、SPSS、Chow Test to analyze the results . The important results and finding were summarized as follow : 1.There’s a positive correlation between Performance Expectancy、Effort Expectancy、Social Influence、Facilitating Conditions, and the willingness to use the Interactive White Board. 2.The expected return has no correlation with the willingness to use the Interactive White Board 3.Willingness to use and how to use the Interactive White Boards has a huge impact on the results. 4.By using Mean value and Factor loading analysis, the Performance Expectancy of our study is affected drastically by“perceived usefulness” and “outcome expectations”, while the Social Influence aspect is affected most by “complexity” and “results expectancy”, and last but not least, the Facilitating Conditions are affected by “compatibility” and “social factors”. 5.The following moderators also have effects on the results, “Gender” can affect the results of Social Influence, “Age” has effect on Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Influence. “Acceptance to Innovation” can influence Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions, note that “Acceptance to Innovation” can drastically influence Facilitating Conditions. These results will be made available for any academic research institute or any private researchers who are wishing to carry this investigation further。 Cing-Ci Kuo 郭清吉 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 134 zh-TW
