| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 國家政策與公共事務研究所 === 99 === The purposes of this study is to explore the relations between work values and professional commitment that legal metrologists in verification, inspection, calibration of weights & measuring instruments have, and to examine the differences caused by such variables as their personal backgrounds.
The chief method for this study is general survey, carried out by using a questionnaire called “Investigation into Work Values and Professional Commitment of Legal in Metrologists Verification, Inspection, Calibration of Weights & Measuring Instruments”; 145 copies of questionnaire were distributed among the legal metrologists, and 143 of those copies were answered as valid feedback, the rate of valid collection being 98.62%. Then the data collected were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Persons correlation analysis.
The conclusions from the study are as follows: The work values of legal metrologists are amongst all the options,“social interaction” is most appreciated. The professional commitment of legal metrologists are amongst all the options, “professional ethics” is most appreciated. There is a significant differences in legal metrologists, work values due to the differences among marital status, working positions and metrology woking years. There is a significant differences in legal metrologists, professional commitment due to the differences among marital status, working positions and family care responsibility. A positive relationship existed between legal metrologists, work values and professional commitment.
Based on the above findings, some suggestions were finally proposed as a reference for the practice and future researchers.
