Owing to adaptability of the capsules, it is changeful in the filling types of drugs. No matter what the filling types of drugs are solid, liquid, or semi-solid, a drug filled into a capsule is completely. Consequently, it is more important for everyone to study the capsule-drug release. In this study, we derived a mathematical model to describe the drug release in capsule, and to quantify the effective diffusion coefficient and lag time with the experimental data. During experiment, the capsules had different types, including with or without belt and film, full degree of the drug, and the different kinds of bulk solution. Then, the mathematical model was fitting with data, therefore, obtained the effective diffusion coefficient and lag time in each case.
