Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 電機工程學系所 === 99 === Electric vehicles (EVs) have attracted wide attentions in recent years. The battery management system of EVs has been becoming an important theme in the past decade of research. To construct an ideal battery management system which possesses high security and is able to extend battery lifecycle, we investigate a battery management system contributes the capacity equalization and isolation protection. This system can be used in arbitrary series-parallel connected battery packs, and effectively manages all batteries either work in the charging or discharging mode. We have designed a battery management system with charge mode and discharge mode. For the discharge mode, we have developed a new method of battery capacity equalization, and determine the minimum number of battery for equalization. This system not only reaches balancing discharge, but also meets requirement of output power. For the charge mode, this system can individually adjust the charge current according to the battery energy storage status for a charge equalization. Furthermore, the battery can be immediately isolated while it is not within the operational range of safety. Simulated and experimental results have successfully demonstrated that our proposed designs are functional and practicable.
