" Walking through Luo Jin " is written in place images of Luo Jin/Lukang ; " The Dust Before the Wind " is written in place images of Whirl Lan/Hualien. Chapter II to IV re-examine disappearance and reappearance of the landscape in Luo Jin and Whirl Lan by the memory of " history ", the imaginary reality of " space ", and the metaphor of " body ", to imagine and memory the place. In Chapter II the place is an address to call memory, respectively by Luo Jin/Lukang during Qing Dynasty and Whirl Lan/Hualien in Japanese occupying period. Luo Jin where the birthplace of Shi Shuqing is , and the second for the short new dwelling place ─ Hualien, recovery and exhibit Shi Shuqing’s Taiwan colonial historical memory. Chapter III reappears the image of Taiwan''s mobile and remaining diverse ethnic groups from the landscape and the anti-landscape in the novel " real space " and " imaginative place " under two different regimes of Qing Dynasty and Japanese rule. Chapte IV uses the body as the space to observe a small description of rewriting a large history by Shiu Ching, the edge figure of society in " Walking through Luo Jin ", and the description of the Japanese woman , Yokoyama Yueji , to" marry " Taiwan''s aborigine in " The Dust Before the Wind ", subverts the discourse of colonial hegemony. The body image of fictional characters in Luo Jin/Whirl Lan transfers the core of the thesis ── Taiwan ancestors'' identity was established. Chapter V is the change and adjustment of local identity, and the reversal from the center to the edge . The " cross-border " escape shapes " cross-border the " sense of place. While looking for their homeland, the sense of place is the attribution of people''s emotion. Finally, Chapter VI summarizes the memory, imagination and identity of Shi Shuqing’s "Taiwan Trilogy" , to create and turn the center and the edge of Taiwan "local image" with her aggressive ambition.
