It’s also a traditional industry and an important basis for national construction industry. However, their working environment involvement in high temperature, high noise and high pollution. The purpose of the research was to what’s the factor of influencing the steel industry’s employers’ health food selection, by referring to steel industry’s workers’ common health hazards, health food category, consumer behavior, product characteristics, and other relevant documents. Then, this study surveyed a Taichung steel factory’s employers using sampling methods, adapted of Delphi method to conduct the survey, and through the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process; AHP). Finally, conducted depth interviews with experts to explore the key indicators for industry’s employees to choose the health food. The research construct the key factors about the steel industry’s employees’ selection on health food which including employees’ background, consumption habits, other behaviors and products with three dimensions. The employees’ background’s surface include age, salary, diet pattern and their work environment; consumer behavior habits including purchase information sources, distribution channels, promotional activities; products contains the product’s characteristics, product’s price, product’s advertising and product brands. Then, visiting the employees and distributed survey to get the importance of the views with each dimensions. The final analysis provide the conclusions and recommendations. According to AHP analysis showed that the steel industry’s workers influenced by the 11 key factors to select the health food, the most important is “product characteristics’’; the less important factor is “diet pattern”. The steel industry or the sale of biotechnology products industry can accord these key factors and its results as a reference to understand what influence steel employees’ health food selection. This study would also help biotechnology-related industries with more in-depth study as the reference.
