Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 研發科技與資訊管理研究所 === 99 === With the need of optical communication in various countries, the development and practical application of this technology has become a priority investment around the world. China is investing in upgrading their optical fiber networks to replace their internet, telephone and cable with optical fiber like many countries such as USA, Southeast Asia, Europe, India, etc… After various countries vigorously develop their main fiber optic trunk, they can link between countries and cities. Into the so-called FTTH (Fiber to The Home, FTTH) stage, when fiber comes to the home and office, the demand of interior wiring components will grow exponentially. The key component of indoor fiber optic cable for indoor wiring affects the key indicator of indoor fiber optical signal transmission which is the cable jacket shrinkage. Therefore, this paper will explore the subject of cable shrinkage. The research cover five stages of Six Sigma DMAIC to improve the shrinkage of indoor fiber optic cable. This research use actual arguments from international optical communications connector manufacturers to construct fiber optic cable capacity. This research will also improve production processes combined with the Taguchi's Dynamic methods, to obtain the smallest fiber shrinkage process parameters. This process optimization model will propose the best and most practical application for the fiber optic cable manufacturing process.
