Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 資訊科學與工程研究所 === 99 === Many computer game applications need huge amount of computation and memory, so we need a lot of computing resources to solve those problems. Volunteer computing model, providing the features of scalability, high throughput and cheapness, would be a good solution for computer game applications. Unfortunately, many volunteer computing platforms, like BOINC, are not suitable for some computer game applications, so we have developed our own system of volunteer computing for computer game applications. For an integrated NSC project, we need to provide a computing platform for computer game applications for supporting many organizations concurrently. We will upgrade our system to support different organizations and share the computing resource provided by each organization. The major issue is to solve the problem of resource allocation. Currently, the system has been used by several organizations, such as National Dong Hwa University, National Taiwan Normal University and so on.
