As the industrial waste was also treated by incineration, it is important to have some basic idea about the amount, the composition, and the recyclable percentage, and etc. The objective of this work is to establish such information from a recycling plant for the first time. The data were collected from 2009 to 2011 seasonally. The physical composition, the percentage of separable and recyclable were analyzed. The results showed that the plastic and papers were the two major components in industrial waste, which were 36,19% and 31.43%, respectively. Also, the percentage of rubbers and leathers was much higher than that in the municipal waste, which may due to the rubbish from the manufactures processes. Result also showed that the actual percentage of recyclable ignitable industrial wastes are 15.14% to 19.92%. The mean value is 16.48%. Besides, the recycling potential is 32.53% to 47.53% and the mean is 42.46%. By using recycling selection plants, the wastes could be reduced 1,148,916 tons/ per year in Taiwan area. (General ignitable industrial wastes are 172,025 tons, and general wastes are 976,891 tons.) This study provided an important reference for the future management of the ignitable industrial wastes.
