Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 電機工程學系 === 99 === According to the statistics of Taiwan Power Company, there are 98% of consumers still utilizing traditional mechanical watt-hour meters, which require assigned meter readers to record the meter on site periodically for a long term. It might cause mistakes during data processing and increases manpower cost. Although remote supervising system is quite common and generally applied in real time image supervising, it would be too complex for remote meter reading. Therefore, an embedded system is utilized in the study as a platform combining image retrieval technique to retrieve the image of watt-hour meter and return the image through digital internet to simply remote supervising system and meet the requirement of remote reader. The study retrieves 640*480 pixels image by CMOS camera and applies the technique on the operation of mechanical watt-hour reading to receive the image through email and CGI(Common Gateway Interface), Comparing to artificial meter recording, the system allows supervisors to read the data of watt-hour meter without the limitation of time and space, thereby saves time and manpower cost.
