The coastline stretches from Northeast to Southwest. The region is directly facing the wind, therefore, every winter that starts from October to March, is affected by the Northeast wind which brings a lot of salt. The salt usually adheres to Taiwan Power Company’s distribution lines causing power distribution line equipment to be corrosion and damaged which lead to power outage events to occur. The insulator, used to support the insulation cable and cable supporting materials, is an important device for power distribution. When the power of insulator is contaminated to a degree that can cause arc flash, feeder line faults will occur causing power cut of certain areas. How to prevent salt pollution in the power line and increase the reliability of power supply is indeed a major issue. This study uses Equal Salt Deposit Density (ESDD) measurement method, long-term measuring 15 points, totaling 3 years and 10 months, and establishes ESDD database in Changhua region. The linear regression statistical analysis is employed to illustrate the relationship between ESDD and the distance from the coastline and finally to differentiate 6 level of contamination areas. The study results can be as a reference for the design and maintenance of power lines and prevention from the salt pollution. 鍾翼能 郭宗益 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 61 zh-TW
