The current job of the researcher is a guidance officer in a senior high school. In order to improve the students’ consideration and respect competencies, the researcher tried to develop suitable model teaching programs. Based on Quasi-Experimental Designs, Questionnaire Survey Procedure, analysis of course feedbacks form students and interviews, the study period started from September, 2010 to June, 2011. The instruction process of model teaching lasted for one month, from the early April to May of 2011. The methods for data collection included observation, worksheet completion of the members, group discussions, and interviews. As for the data analysis, the researcher applied SPSS Statistics to dissect the information. The research concluded as the following, 1. According to the comparisons of the personality and behavior scales in different groups, the consideration and respect competencies were dramatically influenced by the courses. It showed that there would be huge difference in the students’ character behaviors, mainly respect and consideration competencies, after the experimental programs. 2. As for the comparisons of the personality and belief scales in different groups, the results witnessed that neither groups were actually affected to an obvious level. It is clear from the data gathered that the character beliefs of the students showed no difference just because of the experimental courses. The reason might be that while the students possessed high knowledge, they lacked of the eagerness for practical performance. 3. Model teaching programs had positive impacts on consideration and respect competencies in senior high students. 4. Students approved the series of model teaching programs about respects and consideration. 5. The experimental lessons comprised multiple instructional activities. Students appreciated the model teaching very much, particularly the life stories of Chef Aki (阿基師), Ryan (萊恩的願井) and Chen Shu-Chu (陳樹菊). 6. The teacher experienced several difficulties throughout the instructional process of model teaching, including time limitation, ability deficiency of program design and professional knowledge. By self-study, introspection and discussions with the professors, the research ameliorated the previous predicament.
