碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 特殊教育學系研究所 === 99 === The purpose of this research was to realize Tainan gifted elementary students’ over-excitability traits, the difference of current life adjustment, depression and the correlation of the overexciting traits,life adjustment and depression. The subjects were 227 fifth and sixth grade students of the six elementary school in Tainan. The research was carried out by means of using questionnaires. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The main findings of this study were as follows: 1.Gifted senior graders of elementary school students’ overexciting traits were intellectual over-excitability,and then imaginational overexcitability,psychomotor over-excitability, sensual overexcitability, and emotional over-excitability. 2.There were no significant difference to gender and grade in overexcitability. 3.There were significant difference to gender in depression. 4.There were no significant difference to gender, grade and school location in overexcitability. 5.The overexcitability has a positive effect on depression for gifted elementary school students. 6.The life adjustment has an egative effect on depression for gifted elementary school students. 7.Gifted elementary school students with overexcitability are quite positive related of life adjustment.
