In this study we grew Amphora coffeaeformis, Nitzschia constricta and N. ovalis under four conditions : (1) 28℃and 380 ppm CO2 (ambient control), (2) 28℃and 750 ppm CO2 (high CO2), (3) 31℃and 380 ppm CO2 (high temperature), (4) 31℃and 750 ppm CO2 (greenhouse). Chlorophyll a was significantly lower at elevated temperature than ambient temperature on these three species. Photosynthetic system II (PSII) of A. coffeaeformis was significantly higher under high temperature and greenhouse conditions, and N. constricta was significantly higher under high temperature and high CO2 conditions, whereas Nitzschia ovalis was significantly higher under high CO2 and greenhouse conditions. The cellular quotas of C, N and P were not significantly different among four conditions for all species. The cell size of A. coffeaeformis and N. ovalis was significantly smaller under greenhouse conditions, but not on N. constricta. Hence, rising temperature and CO2 in the future will not alter the C, N and P requirement for these species, but will reduce chlorophyll a concentrations, and sizes will be reduced on A. coffeaeformis and N. ovalis.Keywords : diatom, CO2, temperature, Amphora coffeaeformis, Nitzschia constricta, Nitzschia ovalis
