The main purpose of this study was to know the status of the implementation of the leisure education curriculum, and teachers of different background variables reflecting in the differences between the implementations.Questionnaire survey was applied.The object of study are public elementary school special education teachers of seven counties(Miaoli County,Taizhong, Zhanghua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Jiayi County and Jiayi)in central areas. Using the self-redacted “Questionnaires of the elementary special education teachers in the implementation status of leisure education programs” as the research tool.The collected data were processed by Descriptive Statistics, T-test,One-Way ANOVA. Induces the following conclusion according to the findings:
The elementary special education teachers compile teaching materials to value “Take conforms to student's interest and superiority ability as the principle”, most often use teaching strategy of “Has both the static activity and the dynamic activity”, most often use teaching assessment of “implement individual assessment according to the students individualized education program”, most often make use of teaching resources of “In order to promote maximum participation, timely adjustments to equipment as the student needs” in the implementation status of leisure education curriculum.
The main difficulties was “The student impairment is too serious, so that in the education of leisure teaching is limited easily ”, “The student ability difference is big, so that not take into account the individual needs”, “Special education teachers and general teachers in co-operation is not easy in the integration of teaching”for the elementary special education teachers in the implementation of leisure education curriculum.
There was no significant difference on different gender and different years of special education of elementary special education teachers in the implementation status of leisure education curriculum.There was significant difference on different age, different special education background and different number of student with different levels of disorder of elementary special education teachers in the implementation status of leisure education curriculum.
There was significant difference on different gender of elementary special education teachers in the implementation difficulties of leisure education curriculum. There was no significant difference on different age, different years of special education, different special education background and different number of student with different levels of disorder of elementary special education teachers in the implementation difficulties of leisure education curriculum.
