After exploring related literatures and collecting opinions proposed by teachers, we concluded 10 reference dimensions and 50 reference principles, which were used for the case-studied schools’ choosing of the best strategies to cope with low birth rate. Then, through “Questionnaire of Preferred Feasible Strategies”, teachers at the studied schools selected their preferred standards. What follows was the analysis of data utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The top seven most important standards selected (by order of importance): Enhancement of character education (21%), binding school teams and creating new consensus (16.8%), regular communication with parents for education philosophy (16.5%), holding remedial teaching (13.7%), supports from administers (13.1%), creating a characteristiczed school (11.5%) and providing space for education activities (7.5%). Following the result, a self-evaluation form of strategies of coping low birth rate specific for studied schools was developed. Finally, through focus group interview, teachers’ opinion about the participating experience and the self-evaluation form were unveiled. The results of this study became principles for policy making and references for the developing of strategies to cope with the low-birth-rate situation. Pan-Wen Fu 潘文福 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 116 zh-TW
