The research method used was the questionnaire survey method, with primary school teachers in Hualien County as the subjects of research, and was carried out by stratified sampling. A total of 382 samples of questionnaire were distributed, 376 samples were returned back, 346 were valid samples. The variables were analyzed using SPSS for Windows 12.0 statistics package software for t- test, One Way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation, and the following results were obtained: 1. Primary school teachers showed a high degree of knowledge sharing needs, the need to receive knowledge was greater than the need to pass down knowledge. 2. A high frequency rate on knowledge sharing behaviors of primary school teachers in the present situation was found, among which classroom management had the highest frequency rate, while on the other hand, significant issues had the lowest frequency rate. 3. The regions, the scales of the schools in which the teachers teach, or the variables concerning the teachers’ personal backgrounds had no influence whatsoever on their knowledge sharing needs 4. Among the variables on the individual backgrounds of teachers, their highest educational backgrounds and the scales of the schools in which they teach influenced their knowledge sharing behaviors. 5. There was a salient positive correlation between primary school teachers’ knowledge sharing needs and knowledge sharing behaviors. Lastly, based on the results of the study along with the discussions, some concrete suggestions were given as references for the administrative heads of education, the school, the primary school teachers and for future researchers.
