The imposed goal, in terms of an altered evaluation of sportsmanship and championship, is manipulated by nationalism, in consider to the crucial international status that Taiwan has been encountering with. “Sports” hence becomes an immense, added complicated concept, involved with subjects such as sex/gender, ethics, media, and national identity. As a result, nationalism conceptualizes and further creates the definitions of athletic honor and the goal of physical education system, of which the athletes’ hard-to-grasp dreams are developed and intensified. Through these soccer players’ narratives on personal training experiences, the athletes however vivify a precious persistent value toward the understanding of sportsmanship/championship that dominated by nationalism.
