Photography now and then offers a way for people to show their viewpoints toward nature. By the way of photography, people explore, share and experience natural diversities and beauty. While the digital camera is getting popular nowadays, how to take the advantages of photography to promote children’s caring for natural surroundings can be a meaningful issue for educators to discuss. The purpose of this study is to find an appropriate way to teach children nature photography with the help of the method of action research. It is important, when teaching children nature photography, to help children show their imagination and develop their positive affection throughout the whole teaching. In this teaching, not only children learned about visual literacy and multiple styles in photograph creation, but also “aesthetic experience” was adapted to facilitate children’s positive affection development in different aspects of teaching, such as the showing of beauty in teaching contents, children’s creations and teachers’ manners. Thus, children showed their splendid creativities in photography and expressed their wonderful feelings when they interacted with nature. The concept of environmental protection is better taken root when kids are younger. Nature photography provides a possible way. It inspires children to show their creativities and express their concerning for nature neither with expensive equipment nor the limitation from professional knowledge about photography.
