It was followed by the discussions of how residents with different backgrounds would impact the service quality level of the faculty dormitory; and further, to evaluate the effectiveness of the service quality level of the faculty dormitory. This study adopted a method of documentary analysis as the theoretical base of the investigation. The research instrument was a questionnaire, self-edited by the researcher, entitled “The service quality level of the faculty dormitory in the National University ”. The subjects are the residents who lived in the faculty dormitory of National Yuzhi University (pseudonym) on May 1, 2010. Random sampling was employed. The researcher sent out 282 questionnaires, and received 169 valid responses. The valid receiving rate was 60%. Data were analyzed by using the method of descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The following conclusions were drawn from this study: 1.The contents of the dormitory management in the National University included the administrative management, environmental management, safety control, and construction management. 2.The service quality of the faculty dormitory in the National University was divided into 4 areas, being tangibles, reliability, assurance, and interaction. 3.The residents agreed that the National University provides good service quality level of the faculty dormitory. 4.Firstly, the public facilities and amenities of the faculty dormitory in the National University needed to be improved 5.The most satisfactory topic in the questionnaire was that the dormitory administrative personnel are familiar with the entire operational procedures. 6.Most of the resident’s backgrounds in the National University influenced the service quality level of the faculty dormitory. 7.Most of the resident’s backgrounds in the National University can forecast the service quality level of the faculty dormitory.
