Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 教育研究所 === 99 === This study, based on semi-structured interview and document analysis, investigates the effects of student learning and overall educational benefits of implementing featured school and its innovative management in current state, strategies and ways in innovative management at three junior high schools in Hsinchu County. The results are divided into four sections. I. The current state and strategies in implementing featured school consist of five major factors. First, the principal plays a critical role in activating featured school. Second, the purposes aim at revitalizing space utility, enhancing the popularity of the school and strengthening sustainable management. Third, schools can develop their curriculum with specialty in terms of their current advantages. Fourth, obstacles are due to limited resources, examination oriented teaching and learning, and changes of the principals. Finally, strategies utilized to implement featured school are to break off traditional opinions and myths to effectively energize new policies. II. The ways of implementing featured school and innovative management include the followings. First, the administrative innovation will be the determinant factor in progression and communication to reach consensus to create multiplied effects. Second, innovation of curriculum and pedagogy aim to transform teachers’ concept, enhance professional capability, integrate subjects with local resources and revitalize space utility. Resource integration is the third innovation which attempts to combine resources in current state and develop external resources such as cultivating good public relationships to back up the featured school. Fourth, innovation of student activities means to develop students’ potentials through participating in multifunctional activities. Fifth, innovation of space utility aims at extending students’ learning milieu with educational implications. Finally, junior high schools can ally themselves with elementary schools to achieve better recruitment and competition. III. The effects on student learning via implementing featured school are twofold. First, it motivates students to learn and helps them enjoy their studies. Second, students are immersed in a created learning environment. IV. Educational benefits of implementing featured school include systematic overall management which helps cultivate further the featured school. Moreover, effective integration of resources benefits students with multiple learning opportunities. This current study will make further suggestions regarding educational organization, school administration, teachers and future research, hoping to implement workable practice and accomplish goals of sustainable management.
