Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立宜蘭大學 === 資訊工程研究所碩士班 === 99 === Thanks to its high transmission rate, extensive signal coverage, low deployment cost and the multi-hop transmission via wireless networks, Mobile Wireless Mesh Networks (MWMNs) not only offers a good solution to the last-mile problems, but also provides a large number of users with Ubiquitous network services. However, the abundant network traffic variation resulted from a great number of mobile users may decrease the system performance and lead to the network congestion, which must be solved by achieving the load balance in MWMNs. Based on linear programming, this paper clearly defines the dynamic load balancing problem in MWMNs and proves the problem NP-hard. To improve the load balance and the path congestion in MWMNs, an Adaptive Situation-Aware (ASA) routing metric that considers node status and link quality is proposed for users to select the path of the best transmission efficiency. Furthermore, we proposed a load balancing scheme to reduce the waste of the overall network resources so that the network congestion caused by the lack of network resources can be avoided and the load balance can be attained.
