Using the insured’s perspective to explore how insured’s characteristics, the causes of death or disability, claim payment, cases of claim and date of accident affect the choice behavior of distribution channel in this study. The empirical results show that: The case of sudden death or disability is disease, associated with higher choice probability of the distribution of broker and agent. Another finding suggests that the higher claim payment in the case of sudden death or disability is associated with higher probability of the distribution of broker and agent. The cases of claim present significantly negative influence on the probability of the distribution of broker and agent.
