The semiconductor industries are now only in the startup stage of using cloud computing,but it is undeniable that there are always mass data to be analyzed and computed in the process of production planning. If the technology of cloud computing could beproperly used, its flexibility and computing power would greatly contribute to theproduction planning process of the semiconductor industries. Currently, most business companies are still using personal computers (PCs) and EXCEL to conduct data operations. However, the computing power of PC is very limited, so is EXCEL. Therefore, it has caused large amounts of time on waiting and data processing. The purpose of this thesis was to discuss “how to use the cloud computing technology to solve the computing problems in the production planning process of semiconductor industries”. The goal was to make the cloud computing technology compatible with the old systems. Through case study, this thesis would generally introduce the manufacturing process and production management of semiconductor factories. The cloud service of Google App Engine, along with the Google Web Toolkit, was used to conduct the module design and development. The goal was to establish a cloud service model that could be widely used so that the time of writing and developing programs could be saved. This thesis would help develop the system services and core values that an enterprise needs in order to increase the business efficiency and create its own competitive advantages.
