The first-stage of the proposed system is power factor correction circuit which possesses whole voltage range and implemented by boost converter. It can apply to 85~265V, 50/60Hz, the output voltage is 400V, so it can use to all over the world. The boost converter is operated in boundary conduction mode to improve the power factor. The second-stage of the proposed system is forward converter which is used to reduce input voltage 400V to 30V. The converter designs the third winding to transfer the magnetizing inductance energy to second winding for maintaining the output voltage stability.
