In the article, it focuses on the radius of punch, hole diameter of blanking, lower hole diameter which would effect on the forming factors of hole flange. Set 3 kinds of level to each factor, and use the Orthogonal Array L9 to plan and design the experiment combination and use that to decrease the times of analysis and experiment conduct. First, apply the simulation analysis software to proceed the analysis of hole-flange forming to discover the best combiniation parameter and go with the real die forming to authenticate the efficiency of the best die design factor. In this way we could value the function efficiency by S/N. Last, use the signal to noise ratio to evalue the cability of the object function; use ANOVA to check how the designed parameter effect on the object faction and predict the best parameter value for the different design. While seeking the optimal designed performance, it still keeps the design robustness and reasonable. In my assay, I use the thickness 2.5mm High Strength Low-Alloy steel and conducting the forming of hole flange. From the optimal parameter combination to get the relationship between the height of hole flange and wall thickness. This can improve the factor causes the bad tool design and benefit for incorporating hole punching, forming and thread in the progressive die and provide a reference for the tool maker.
