碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 成人教育研究所 === 99 === The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the job involvement and life satisfaction of museum volunteers. The research subjects were sampled from the volunteers of National Science and Technology Museum (NSTM) and Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (KMFA). Questionnaire with Likert Scales was applied in this study. There were 508 valid questionnaires out or 650 questionnaires issued. The effective received rate was 78.15%. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, independent sample t test, one-way analysis of variance (one-way ANOVA), and two-way ANOVA. The findings of this study were: the volunteers of Museum are almost composed of female, 51 to 60-year-old, retired and housewives, with fairly high degrees of job involvement and life satisfaction. The conclusions of this study were as following: 1.For job involvement, KMFA volunteers’ work participation is higher than NSTM volunteers. 2.Elder volunteers show higher Job involvement than younger. 3.The elder with good economic situation volunteers have higher life satisfaction. 4.Being a volunteer could prompt the life satisfaction self concept of those volunteers who graduated from senior high school and colleges. 5.Both in sexuality and service seniority factors, there were coherent and relative effects between volunteers’ perceptions of job involvement and life satisfaction According to the conclusions, this study also provided suggestions on the aspects of practical application and future research.
