However, as for the seniors, their mental and physical health and the leisure life arrangements after their retirement are very important to them. The primary purpose of this study is to understand the health and leisure service demands of the seniors and the factors that influence their selection of health and leisure service. Taking the citizens over 50 years old in Taichung City as the subjects, this study adopts questionnaire survey and collects data by convenience sampling. We conducted the survey in January, 2010, distributing 300 questionnaires in total with 277 valid ones. The self-compiled Questionnaire of The Study for Seniors on Health needs of Leisure Services is taken as the tool of the quantitative survey in this study. The obtained data are then processed by such statistics methods as descriptive statistics, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, relevance analysis and regression analysis. The study results show that: 1. The seniors plays more emphasis on the health aided facilities than on the health service activities. 2. Through the analysis of the perceived health status under the demographic variables, it is found that the education, occupation, traveling expenses and traveling duration show significance difference in the perceived health status. 3. Through the analysis of the health and leisure service under the demographic variables, it is found that age, education, job, travel frequency and current health status show significant difference in the health and leisure service. 4. The perceived health shows significant and positive correlation to the health and leisure service. 5. The health and leisure service has significant influence on the leisure benefits. 6. The social support has significant influence on the leisure benefits. 7. The perceived health status has significant influence on the leisure benefits.
