We found that the Bank of Taiwan and Central Trust of synergy factors in addition to merging the results have not shown within short period , another important factor is the two lines merging point in time coincided with the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis, by the collapse of Lehman Brothers, etc. Various factors, synergy has not obvious. This case Banking following suggestions for management and follow-up in merger cases, participation of experts and scholars interested in excellence: Firstly, strengthen the development of wealth management business, increase administration fees income. Secondly, the integration of various businesses reduces operational costs. Thirdly, the implementation of risk management, improve asset quality, strengthen its operating structure.
