Furthermore, it intends to explore the variations and relationship among the three factors. The samples of the study were young children’s fathers in Kaohsiung City public kindergartens. Questionnaires included four parts namely, background, social support, involvement in parenting and paternal self-efficacy were given for the study. There were 717 questionnaires served to young children’s fathers, and within 627 validated questionnaires were collected. The validation of returned questionnaires was 87.4%. Some statistics, like descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, T-test, Pearson Correlation Analysis and stepwise multiple regression, were adopted to analyze the data. Research findings are as follows: 1.The social support is at well level, informational emotional support has the highest score while substantial support has the lowest. 2.Involvement in parenting is at general level, parent-child interaction has the highest score while school involvement has the lowest. 3.Paternal self-efficacy is at well level, parental knowledge has the highest score while ability of certain has the lowest. 4.There are significant difference in social support regarding paternal educational. There are significant difference in involvement in parenting regarding paternal educational and mate’s employment status 5.The young children’s fathers who have more social support and involvement in parenting will have higher paternal self-efficacy. 6.Social support and involvement in parenting were significant predictors on paternal self-efficacy. Finally, based on the main findings of the study, some suggestions to young children’s parents, parenting education organization, educators and future studies were proposed.
