Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 99 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the current condition and the relevance of elementary school principals’ space leadership and school effectiveness and how they are different with environmental variables. In order to reach the study purpose, this study chose these survey method including “The Questionnaire of Elementary School principals’ Space Leadership and School Effectiveness” developed by the researcher. The study objects were the elementary school teachers in Kaohsung city,Kaohsung county and Pingtung county. The effective samples are 548 in total. According to the result of the questionnaire , the following conclusions are gained by descriptive statistics, dependent sample variance of analysis, t-test, one-way variance of analysis, Pearson’s, product-moment correlation method, and the regression analysis in multiple steps. Based on the result of the analyzed data, conclusions are drawn as follows: 1. Elementary school teachers’ beliefs in principals’ space leadership were constructive, especially in beliefs of helping teachers’ teaching and administrative effectiveness. 2. Elementary school teachers’ beliefs in school effectiveness were constructive, especially in students’ achievement. 3. Male teachers had higher beliefs in principals’ space leadership and school effectiveness than female teachers. 4. Teachers who served in cities had higher beliefs in principals’ space leadership and school effectiveness than that of the elementary school teachers in the villages and towns. 5. Principals’ space leadership have the influence to school effectiveness. Finally, according to the study result , this study provided suggestions for educational administrative organization, elementary school’s principals and future researchers.
