In order to reach the study purpose, this study chose survey method: “The Questionnaire of Elementary School Teachers’ Marine Education Teaching Beliefs and Marine Education Teaching Behaviors” developed by the researcher. The study objects were the elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung County. The effective samples are 577 in total. According to the result of the questionnaire﹐the following conclusions are gained by descriptive statistics, dependent sample variance of analysis, t-test, one-way variance of analysis, Pearson’s product-moment correlation method, and the regression analysis in multiple steps. Based on the result of the analyzed data﹐conclusions are drawn as follows: 1. Elementary school teachers’ beliefs in marine education teaching were constructive, especially in beliefs of curriculum and teaching material. 2. Elementary school teachers’ behaviors in marine education teaching were well in every aspect, especially in teaching practice. 3. Elementary school to promote marine education to swimming teaching, curriculum and integration into all areas of outdoor activities as the main method of teaching visit, into the concept of marine recreation, marine resources and marine sciences. 4. Elementary school teachers teaching the importance of marine education goals by pro-sea, love the sea makes me know the sea; teachers’ teaching materials use current events, news events, and network resources as the main source of teaching materials. 5. Junior teachers had higher beliefs in marine education teaching practice than senior teachers. 6. Junior teachers were better in behaviors of marine education teaching practice than senior teachers. 7. Subject teachers were better in behaviors of marine education teaching comments the quantity than homeroom teachers and teachers concurrently hold administrative positions. 8. The higher elementary school teachers’ marine education teaching beliefs are, the better marine education teaching behaviors’ performances are. 9. Elementary school teachers’ beliefs in curriculum and teaching material and in teacher role have the influence to the marine education teaching behaviors. Finally, according to the study result, this study provided suggestions for educational administrative organization, elementary school teachers and future researchers.
