| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 視覺藝術學系 === 99 === This is a study on how to create arts by using of discarded materials. The researcher cares about the problems of rubbish excess and incineration and he re-uses the trashed materials for art works instead of using new materials. By doing this, he tries to achieve two major goals which are “Creation of Visual Arts” and “Environmental Protection” However, not all the junk is selected as materials for arts. Researcher only uses secondary rubbish. The so-called secondary rubbish is general rubbish except the recycling materials, kitchen waste, excreta or toxic contaminants. What remains are normally regarded as valueless & useless stuff and to be incinerated in the end. So the researcher attempts to give the secondary rubbish new life.
This investigation is to analyze and explore the developments histories concerning about environmental protection, art of environmental care, management of junk, and artificial creation with junk (junk art) through literature. The value of art creation with junk strongly enhances the researcher’s motivation and confidence for creation. In addition, through style analysis, we learn those artists’ spirit, concept and techniques such as Joseph Beuys(1921-1986), Cesar Baldaccini (1921-1998), Armand Pirre Fernandez (1958-2005), Tim Noble (1966-) & Sue Webster (1976-), Joseph-Ferdinand Cheval (1836-1924).
The creation motive comes from the creator’s awareness of environmental protection result from nowadays environment, government policy, education, media and so on. In order to express the care for our environment, researcher takes use of junk materials. The main techniques are modeling, scattered, filling, collage, string. The "Seal" is a general name of all techniques. The main form are realism, random, material, repeatedly, huge. Use the spirit of Action Research, to improve the methods and quality of creation. Twelve works created, there are "Secondary rubbish ?", "Gardener", "Sausage", "Pigment", "Transfer", "Always imprisonment", "rubbish fish", "Rebirth of tree", "rubbish earth", "information rubbish", "Not self-protection", "Countdown".
Researcher fulfills many conceptions from this study of creation. At the same time, it arouses new ideas and methods for creation. These are all good sources which encourage the researcher to continue his art working and sharing.
