At the same time, capital, manpower ran away as other emerging markets such as mainland China and Southeast Asia increase supply. These problems made Taiwan’s electronic firms face unprecedented challenges. Only the enterprises with competitiveness are able to survive a changing environment. This study from service-oriented perspective, explores the relationships between high value-added innovations, and business performances among different degrees of OBM. The samples are collected from 729 publicly-traded electronics firms in Taiwan during 2003~2009. This study conducts a large-scale questionnaire survey, with a total of 87 effective samples. The results of this study are as follows. First, service innovation, manufacturing innovation, and R&D innovation strategy have generated positive effects on business performances. This result gets conditional support. Second, this study deduces the value-added effect to business performance of innovation activities will be effected by its own OBM degree. The empirical results show OBM degree of manufacturing innovation and R&D innovation strategy are better than ODM/OEM, and have generated positive and significant effects on business performances. This result gets conditional support. However, the value of service innovation strategy are not proven.
