| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 美術學系碩士班 === 99 === The purpose of the thesis is to explore the lotus’ environment of growth and seasons revolve for understanding the variety of human life and its existence value by artwork creating. Therefore, pondering and exploring the relationship between human existence value and the living environment via the realizing of lotus growth cycle is necessary. The author utilizes the clone skills with parallel (side by side) arrangement of opera masks for making artwork's emotions embedded into both the spatial and time domain of universe lives. This concept of the artwork creating could be regarded as a world of only self nested into a big world.
In addition, the artwork shows self by my world, and it uses expressive form and collective form to find areas of self-sprit and emotions. The author utilizes the meticulous painting-based skills, which is unlike tradition skills, with the exquisite lines expression in the artwork to present the delicacy and soft of style. Actually, the artwork not only presents the differences between the modern meticulous painting and the traditional one, but also breaks the limits of traditional painting for creating a unique one with personal distinguish characteristics. The theme of the presented artwork involves not only lotus and opera masks but also words to create the artwork. The author dedicates to make her artworks have more style combinations and with various materials for providing originality purpose. Therefore, the thesis has three sub-topics namely, the life of lotus, the cycle of lotus, and the various appearance of lotus for exploration. Besides, the three themes include some emotions expression such as cherish, gratitude, and vivid facial expression which are composite of opera mask, the Chinese zodiac, Chinese ink, and so on. Overall, the artworks express the author’s emotion and the feeling of life via the author’s observation of lotus life cycle and various unique opera masks which make the author having strong creating ideas and doing some unique artworks.
In conclusion, the author dedicates to explore the meticulous painting skills and demonstrate the realization of it via the study of artwork. The author hopes to create the artwork from pondering the cycle of life and various appearances of things to arouse the creating ideas. Furthermore, the author combines the creating ideas (clone and parallel arrangement style), styles of art, and creating materials (opera masks) for presenting a personal distinguish characteristics in another particular and feasible meticulous painting field.
