Inside an OSGi framework, bundles can communicate with each other through service layer. However, there is no definition for the services distribution nor standards of the external communication between bundles for message passing across different OSGi framework. In this paper, we proposed an extension of OSGi instant messaging communications and peer to peer transfer based on XMPP to extend the scalability and mobility of OSGi bundles. To achieve this, an XMPP OSGi bundle is developed that can be installed on the OSGi framework to provide instant message communicate and peer to peer transfer services. Also, a tour guide system is implemented to illustrate the benefit of using the proposed XMPP OSGi bundle as a feasible way to extend the OSGi framework. Kuo-Hsun Hsu 徐國勛 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 56 zh-TW
