The questionnaire, the Resilience Scale for Adults and Elementary School Teacher’s Teaching Effectiveness Scale, is used as the study instrument. 646 questionnaires were sent out, and 539 of them were returned. The rate of return is 83.4%. 529 out of 539 questionnaires are complete and validate, the availability rate is 81.9%. The returned questionnaires were analyzed by the SPSS program, version 12.0, including t-test, one-way ANOVA(Analysis of Variance), Pearson moment-product correlation, for the statistical data. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. The teacher’s perceptions regarding in every aspect and overall resilience in elementary school is high. 2. The teacher’s perceptions regarding in every aspect and overall teaching effectiveness in elementary school is high. 3. Differences were found among teachers due to their gender, teacher’s ages, and status of marriage when it comes to overall resilience. 4. Within the variables of the schools and teachers, discrepancy was observed due to different gender, teacher’s ages, status of marriage, seniority, and different school districts when it comes to overall teaching efficiency. 5. There is a positive correlation between teacher’s resilience and teaching effectiveness in elementary school of Taichung City. The better quality of teacher’s resilience is, the better teaching effectiveness will be. In summary, the results of the study will be able to provide information and statistical data for educational authority, schools, teachers, and prospective researchers for their future studies.
