This research is to explore a technology innovation and problem-solving model in the high-magnetic magnet generator development process of a case firm with years of experience in the motorcycle electric parts. This research, through literature review, case study and analysis with data supported by actually involved in product development projects, conducts cross-check and analysis to understand the product development bottlenecks encountered and solution methods applicable in the process. The results of this case study reveal that developers may adopt a problem solving process with “enlightened experimentation base on prototypes” to master core technologies and to establish close relationships with customers.
