碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 通訊工程研究所 === 99 === In this thesis, we study the cooperative communication with spatial diversity and time diversity. Diversity techniques are attractive as they can be combined with other forms of diversity to against the fading or some interference in the wireless channel. We want to compare the spatial diversity and time diversity strategies by using the outage probability. Then we consider the diversity order of these two diversity strategies, and supply a method to decide which diversity strategy is better than the other. The numerical result will show the outage probability and count the diversity order of spatial diversity and time diversity strategies. We find a threshold which is a change point between these two strategies, and determine an area which spatial diversity is always better than time diversity.
